Review the new 2025 California Wildland-Urban Interface Code (CWUIC). Combining the three previous codes, CWUIC's format will be explained. Clarifications of existing provisions and changes, including often missed provisions, will be highlighted. The different compliance paths for fire-resistant-rated construction will be outlined and important definitions and requirements will be clarified, setting attendees up for design and build success in the high-demand California WUI.
